General
How can I get the exact meme template?
memR is built to help you reach the exact meme moment instead of settling for a rough match. Start by searching with the dialogue you remember. If you know the exact line, you can jump very close to the precise scene. If you only remember nearby wording, memR still helps you get close. From there, open any relevant result in the modal, scroll through the surrounding movie context, and pick the exact split-second reaction, expression, or dialogue beat you want to share.
What makes memR different from others?
Most meme and GIF platforms are limited to a fixed library of pre-saved reactions, which means people keep reusing the same jokes. memR is different because it is dialogue-first. Instead of browsing only what has already been clipped and saved, you can search by what was said in the movie and discover the exact scene you have in mind. That gives you fresher templates, more precise moments, and much more freedom than a repetitive preset GIF collection.
What is memR mode?
memR mode is a product-wide playful experience where the app speaks the same cultural language as its users. In memR mode, headers, help text, microcopy, and other in-app text can be written as movie or meme references. States like loading, app crash moments, feedback prompts, empty states, and other interactions are also presented through meme or movie references instead of plain generic product language. The idea is that the app itself feels like it belongs to meme culture, not just that it helps you find clips.
How do I make the best use of memR?
The best way to use memR is to think in moments, not just lines. Start with the dialogue you remember, even if it is not exact. Open the closest result in the modal and scroll around the scene, because the funniest part is often the reaction just before or after the spoken line. Choose the shortest, strongest portion that captures the emotion or punchline clearly. If needed, add your own text, keep the clip tight, and use the 6-second limit to make sure what you share is crisp, fast, and memorable.
Services
What types of options do I get for sharing?
memR gives you multiple ways to share the exact moment you find. You can share it as a video clip, GIF, sticker, audio clip, or even as a meme template that you can build on further. The idea is not just to find the right scene, but to let you export it in the format that fits the joke, platform, or conversation best.
Can I add custom text on the clip before I share?
Yes. memR is meant to support meme-style use, which includes making the clip your own before sharing it. If your joke works better with your own caption or framing, you can add custom text to the selected clip so the final share feels personal and context-aware rather than generic.
What is the max duration I can share or save the clip?
The maximum duration you can share or save is 6 seconds. This keeps clips short, sharp, and meme-friendly, which usually works better for punchlines, reactions, and repeat viewing than a longer extracted scene.
Will this work on mobile as well as desktop?
Yes. memR is designed for both. On mobile, the header/search flow and clip interactions are optimized for touch, while desktop gives more space for browsing and comparing multiple results.

Is there a way to save clips for later?
Yes. Use Favorites to quickly save useful clips and return to them later. You can then search within your favorites first and continue from there when you need a template quickly.
Can I share directly to apps or only download files?
memR supports both depending on device/browser capabilities. If native share is available, you can share directly. If not, memR falls back to a downloadable file so you can still post it anywhere.
Office Request
Do I need the exact dialogue to find a scene?
No. Exact dialogue usually gives the fastest result, but memR also works with approximate wording. Start with what you remember, open nearby matches, and scrub the surrounding context to land on the exact moment you want.
Can I search by movie name and dialogue together?
Yes. You can combine normal phrase text with a movie mention (for example, adding @movie) to narrow the result set. That helps when a line is common across multiple films.
Why am I seeing no results for a query?
This usually happens when the query is too short, too specific, or has spelling differences from indexed subtitles. Try a shorter phrase, remove extra words, or use nearby dialogue and then refine from the closest result.
